I have such fond memories from the festival scene, expressing platonic affection with my male friends.
I felt like a mother hen, kissing my babies' foreheads, holding hands, jumping into bear hugs spinning 'round, feverishly kissing cheeks. Having my sweet ones lay in my lap as I stroke their hair, admiring their soul light. Saying "I love you" while holding their sincere gaze.
No lusty feelings or sexual relations. No jealousy from romantic partners. No awkwardness or tension.
Just pure adoration. Love in its purest form.
Some people don't believe such expression is possible, and yet I have lived it.
I envision a world in which platonic affection can be freely shared, regardless of sex, gender, or sexual orientation.
